C R E A T I O N
CREATION is both a game and a novel approach to developing board games that re-appropriates everyday objects as its game pieces on a flexible, modifiable playing field. In the "Classic" version, players invent for themselves a deity that is competing with other deities for control over a new universe. The universe grows as players fill the playing field with their element (Solid, Liquid, etc.) and place objects on it.
This is EARTHCRUSHER V, a mountain-sized energy-devouring juggernaut of incalculable density who roams fields of endless obsidian. BLOCKHEAD gave birth to him so that he would suck up the energy emitted by the Floating Torus to the southwest, which he draws in through his empty eye.
ACT OF CREATION:
Players come up with an explanation of the object that suits their attributes, telling a short story about what the object is and what its relation is to other objects on the board. Doing so costs Influence, which players gain by controlling parts of the Map. Influence is also used for Abilities, which enable players to dynamically alter the Map and the objects already on it.
